Towy | Airport training character design
> Challenge
Our task was to create a lovable and kind character, who can illustrate educational tutorials. The primary aspect was to indicate the connection to the airport, so the main inspirations were the air traffic control staff and control tower itself.
> Outcome
The final decision came to be a personified control tower. The advantage of this figure is that it doesn’t represent a person, so it is less direct, yet his appearance is endowed with human traits, so it gives the opportunity to present emotions, provides a base for connections.
A total of three-character directions were outlined, from which the customer selected the control tower. We were especially pleased that even before we finalized the design, our customers had given our little character a special name: Meet Towy!
